From the classroom to the boardroom, Felicity takes a no holds barred approach to driving change in her industry and creating a world that works for everybody.

Her love of engineering and her lifelong desire to improve diversity and equality in STEM has spawned a business empire. Felicity founded WeAspire Future Leaders in 2020 to prepare emerging leaders to be confident and ready to lead and increase diversity in leadership. She founded Machinam in 2013 and Power of Engineering in 2012 - two groundbreaking organisations encouraging the next generation to consider careers in engineering and maths through real-world applications and opportunities.

After realising the lack of diversity in engineering and wanting to make an impactful change, Felicity co-founded not-for-profit Power of Engineering. The organisation has reached over 10,000 students across Australia through one day events and partnerships with industry and universities. Felicity has raised over $1 million from corporate Australia to support her vision. As a result, 77% of students who were a ‘no’ to engineering before the day change their mind to a ‘yes’ after the event.

In the world of engineering Felicity skyrocketed to the top to lead some of Australia’s most innovative mega infrastructure projects for the likes of Arup, fortune 500 company AECOM and Brisbane City Council, where she delivered a $45 million dollar transport infrastructure project portfolio at just 23 years-of-age. Felicity has over 12 years experience as a civil engineer.

Maths In Real Life (IRL) by Machinam

Did you ever ask “Why am I learning this?” in maths class? Felicity co-founded Machinam to address this and make a bigger, long term impact in STEM education. Maths In Real Life by Machinam engages and motivates students in high school maths through digital maths resources for year 9 and 10. It connects what students are learning in maths class to the real world and authentically how they would use maths in real life.

Enjoying the corporate ladder? It’s time to take the lift.

Felicity is the Founder and CEO of WeAspire which helps aspiring leaders get the practical skills and experiences they need to be confident and ready to lead.

WeApsire primarily focuses on accelerating the careers of minorities in STEM.
